COMPETITION CATEGORIES FOR MEN

TRANSFORMATION

It doesn’t matter where you started your journey or where you are when you walk on stage because this category is all about transformation. You don’t need a six-pack or 0% body fat to compete in this category—you just need a story. Transformation athletes will provide a before and after picture with a short description of your transformation that you are comfortable sharing with the audience. There are two rounds in this category: Board shorts for the first round, evening attire for the second round.

MUSCLE MODEL

This class will be judged on the athlete having a muscular appearance and displaying a fuller deep chested presentation than that of the smaller men’s physique class.  Follow this link to read the complete judging criteria and instructions.

PHYSIQUE SHORT

Under 5’6” Judges will be looking for body shape, symmetry, muscle shape/definition, conditioning, overall appearance and stage presence. PHYSIQUE TALL

Over 5’6”. Judges will be looking for body shape, symmetry, muscle shape/definition, conditioning, overall appearance and stage presence. classic bodybuilding

Competitors will be judged on posing as well as physical appearance in both individual and comparison rounds. Both rounds will consist of quarter turns and mandatory poses. FIT DAD

Shorts for round one and evening attire for round two.

BEACH BODY NOVICE/AMATEUR

masters 35+

REQUIREMENTS

All mandatory posing applies, including quarter turns. Stage T- walks essential for all athletes, excluding Classic bodybuilding rounds.

Athletes start from the side of the stage, walking on to hold a pose at the back of the stage wait for your turn. Athletes then walk to the centre stage and perfects 3 poses for the judges, then moves to the left for 2 poses and then to the right for 1 last pose. Then wait while holding poses at the back of the stage until called forward for mandatory quarter turns.
